A Day of Spiritual Reflection, Sil Observance, and Practice

The Mahamevnawa Buddhist Meditation Monastery of Germany hosts a special Poya Day Programme on full moon days, which are significant in the Buddhist calendar. This programme includes a variety of spiritual activities, such as Dhamma sermons, meditation sessions, chanting, and the observance of precepts through the Sil Programme. Participants are guided to reflect on the Buddha’s teachings, practice mindfulness, and strengthen their commitment to ethical living.

Open to all experience levels, the Poya Day Programme offers a chance to pause from daily routines and focus on personal and spiritual growth. By observing the Sil Programme, individuals can deepen their practice of mindfulness and morality, fostering inner peace and wisdom. It is a day for the community to come together in devotion, cultivating a deeper understanding of the Dhamma and the path to enlightenment.
